So do you have to be a resident of this state for us to collect these taxes, or do you just have to die here? Totally not proposing a billionaire-attracting murder scheme, just asking.

2

Or was is... murder?

@3

Go on, show her how it's done

5

Fuck if I had 300$ Million I would never have to work again ... ever and nor would my kids or my kids kids

9

Maybe Kshama and Charles are right - If we kill the billionaires all of our problems will be solved.

10

@7- hopefully more useless drains on society such as yourself die off, and soon.

11

6 thinks you can bring it with you when you die.

10 seems to be another Seattle-Timesite wannabee.

As Trump would say: Sad.

The writer appears ignorant on taxes and BUDGETING to me. We live in one of the highest taxes states in different taxes: sales, estate and business/income, in the country AND THE IDIOTS CAN'T BALANCE THE BUDGET AND WANT MORE! For instance, out of 50 states, tell me 2 that have higher sales taxes. Further, although "technically" it is not an income tax, tell me any state that charges more than Washington in business taxes (i.e., income taxes on GROSS not NET income). And finally, because of then AG Gregoire losing the Hemphill case, we now have the highest ESTATE taxes in the country if you are a resident of Washington. And all the dumb, dumber and dumbest democrats want are more taxes with no zero based budgeting or accountability. I can relate to Eyman saying ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. As a retired tax CPA, with decades of experiences representing individuals and small businesses, I cannot believe how ignorant our lawmakers can be.

15

@14 - our property taxes are a small fraction of what people pay in states like NY and NJ, and they have state income taxes as well. We're way down the list as far as total tax burden. Eyman is just a grifter who is tapping into anti-government sentiments on the far right.

16

@15 So the 65% of Washingtonians who voted against the last income tax proposal, I-1098, were “far right”.

That’s a lot of nazis in this state.

18

This just seems unamerican. There has to be some kid in Mercer Island we could give it to so he can start a new line of 'Leisure print shirts'.

19

@17 How much did we pay in taxes to protect his patents so he could earn the $300M? But you have a point, he probably would have been even richer had he been born in Somalia.
