The Cinema DNA series takes a single landmark film and examines the filmic and cultural influences that can be traced back from it. For this edition, UW professor José Alaniz will delve into David Lynch's The Elephant Man (1980), with a focus on the representation of people with disabilities from Tod Browning's Freaks to Hal Ashby's Coming Home. It's recommended that you watch The Elephant Man beforehand.
